Almost Marriages and Half Wives

Here I provide you with the official footage of my (half)wedding.

Long story short two weeks ago Claire (aka Claire-ly Claire) proposed to me at dinner and I accepted. The only problem is that last Friday Canadian Gab proposed to me and I forgot that I was already engaged so I said yes to Gab. Tonight we were hanging out and Claire (Claire Claire, not Claire-ly Claire) proposed the idea that we just do the wedding now (instead of in December when I had booked the Edinburgh Castle for our wedding). And we thought, why not? All our friends are here to witness this glorious event. However, if you watch, at the point at which Michaela (Mi-Claire-a) says “speak now or forever hold your peace”, Canadian Gab came rushing in and publicly proclaimed her love for me and asked me to run away with her. I was so overwhelmed I spontaneously decided to go, leaving Claire at the alter. I am not saying I am proud of leaving her at the alter, but afterwards we all made up and now we are all each other’s half-wives. Our first dance was to “Celebration”, then I did an individual first dance with each of them. With Gab it was to a ceilidh song and with Claire it was to a bachata song.
