Rugby Matches and the Scottish Highland Bus Tour

This past weekend was pretty full for me. On Saturday I went to the St Andrews vs University of Edinburgh Varsity Rugby Match. Edinburgh DESTROYED in both games (42-0 for the women’s and 25 – 17 in mens). I met and made friends with people from both Finland and the Netherlands and basically spent the entire time cheering because I did not quite fully understand what was happening in the game. The best part was at the end when a guy dressed in full white ran onto the field and was then chased around the stands for the next 15 minutes (see the video below).

On Sunday, I went with three friends and took a 12 hr bus tour into the Highlands. (Turns out this is the longest day trip in all of Europe).

We passed through places such as Glen Coe (a gorgeous valley), Inverness (the capitol of the highlands), visited Urquhart Castle.

Saw adorable highland coo’s

We also took a ferry across Loch Ness.

While we were on the bus, the bus driver gave us a lot of interesting facts about the history of the areas we were seeing. If you like that sort of thing then keep an eye out for an upcoming post because quite frankly I’m writing this at 5:25 AM (I cannot sleep–the beds here in my dorm are like a rock) so I’m too tired to write the rest right now😂.
