My last ceilidh (with my lemons)
Even though we had a 5am flight the following money to Dublin (meaning we wake up at 3am), when we found out that a ceilidh was happening Thursday night, every one of the lemons that could make it decided to go.
That’s because this was our very very last chance to go to a ceilidh, and the best part was that we went together as one big group (of lemons) whereas previously we had only managed to go in little sub-groups. Also some of us, like Eleanor and Alessandra, had not been to a ceilidh before.
The greatest part was that, since we have now been to so many ceilidhs. We were the group that others were looking to when they were trying to figure out how to do the dance. That probably was also due to the fact that we had all three of the guys in the whole room who were wearing kilts–which automatically add authenticity to their dance moves. We had such a blast. Even when others were not dancing, Adam, Jack or Flo would grab one of us (or each other) and dance,
or spin us as fast as possible
or we would attempt (key word attempt) acrobatics
it was a great chance for all of us to sort of wrap up the semester
for example, I met Jack at my very first ceilidh. I didn’t know it then, but we would keep in contact and he would bring in Claire and George and the three of them would bring us lots of joy. So jack and I agreed that we had to end the semester how we started it, and so for the last two dances… the one where you spin and spin and spin, and the one where you sprint across the room, we were partners
We even did my favorite Ceilidh dance, the one where you pair up and get in groups of 8, and then four of you join together and the guys pick you up and spin you… often so fast that the girls get lifted off their feet. When I did that dance, we had Adam, Flo, Jack, and George as our guys, so we (the girls) FLEW (see Claire’s legs flying)
even after the official ceilidh ended, we kept dancing and then we went outside, messing around, taking photos, and just enjoying all being together
I couldn’t have asked for a better way to tie bow on this semester
EVERYONE IF YOU ARE EVER IN SCOTLAND GO TO A CEILIDH
granted while I wouldn’t say we regretted it, when we woke up the next morning to go to our flight, Michaela, Claire, and I were DEAD

Wonderful post. Wish the videos were longer but we will see for ourselves soon! Glad you were able to do this in your last weeks.
